This official Green Oak tutorial demonstrates how to share sounds between Crystal Synth XT for the iPad/iPhone and Crystal Desktop, a VST or Audio Unit plugin.

While the video does a good job of explaining the process, the process still seems a bit kludgy. Hopefully, the upcoming iOS 5 update and iCloud will offer a more seamless solution for syncing patches between devices.
