Rupert Brown offers his take on the Novation ZeRO SL MkII Controller:

I have been playing with the Novation ZeRO SL MkII for awhile and it is a very capable controller.

It’s rare that a controller allows me to do something new but ZeRO SL has done just this. Thanks to the LCD screen and Automap 3 for the first time I mastered a complete track in the box with my monitor turned off.

While admittedly the first time round I wasn’t as fast as with a mouse but eliminating the distraction of visual feedback forced me to focus more intensely on the audio at hand.

I have the 49 key version, and it's an amazing keyboard/controller. It has a learning curve, it's taken me awhile to learn it, and I still have a ways to go.
